Start your journey by crossing the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry and visiting one of the most popular temples in the Western region, Xunantunich. Xunantunich features the famous El Castillo, a 130-feet-tall temple that offers incredible panoramic views of surrounding infrastructure and views of both Belizean and Guatemalan landscapes. Then, cool off with a canoeing adventure at Barton Creek Cave as you glide through the darkness into a mystifying world of marvelous natural formations. Here, you will witness burial grounds, ceremonial pottery, and bones of ancient people that remain as an eternal testimonial.
