This full day combination tour will start at the Belize Zoo which was established in 1983 by Sharon Matola. Home to a large variety of rehabilitated animals that can no longer survive in the wild. Jaguars, Tapirs, Ocelots, Margays, Howler Monkeys, Harpy Eagles, etc…. It is home to more than 175 animals of about 48 species, all native to Belize. One then heads out towards the Nohoch Che’en Archeological Reserve where lunch is provided at a local restaurant. After lunch, the cave tubing portion is conducted on a cool, refreshing, limestone spring originating from the foothills of the southern mountains. One floats through limestone caves that were formed millions of years ago. Known to the Maya civilization as “Xibalba”.
